Being part of our volunteer stewarding team is a great way to enjoy all that Wild Field Family Festival has to offer and you can camp and enjoy the festival, (for free!…) whilst becoming part of the amazing community which comes together to make the festival happen. Volunteering is a hugely rewarding experience and you’ll have an amazing time as well as make great friends. But most importantly, you will help create an amazing experience for all the families, learn lots and have a fun few days.  It takes a lot of planning to keep a festival running smoothly and all our customers safe and happy, so we can’t do it without YOU!



Wild Field Family Festival takes place from Friday 9th – Monday 13th August. We are looking for volunteers who can help for a minimum of 12 hours over two days, for either event setup, event days or event breakdown from Tuesday 6th to Wednesday 15th August 2019. As a Wild Field Volunteer, you can bring a tent and camp in the Staff & Exhibitors’ area.

Bringing your family – Children of volunteers are welcome to attend the festival, free of charge. Please insure that you have suitable child cover for the duration of your shifts. If you would like to bring a partner and they do not want to / are unable to volunteer, the must buy a discounted festival ticket, available by contacting as soon as your volunteer application has been accepted.

Volunteers must be 16 or over and under 18's must be accompanied by an adult to camp on site.

We couldn’t put this festival on without wonderful enthusiastic volunteers. Volunteering with the Wild Crew is a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting into event management with real, hands on responsibility at a creative arts event.


Here are some of the roles you could fill:


Wild Crew

Our Wild Crew are the Stewards and Supervisors that will work together to be responsible for specific areas of the festival. The Wild Crew are responsible for supporting the workshops and activities which take place, supporting the managers in their duties, keeping an eye on your given area and helping the festival families having fun and staying safe.

Welcome team

Our Welcome Team are made up of our ticketing staff, car parkers, camp crew, and festival shop staff. You will be on the front-line welcoming customers, scanning tickets and issuing wristbands, directing onsite traffic, guiding campers to the festival campsite, working in the festival shop and even taking a turn as one of our festival mascots if you’d like! The team will be led by an experienced manager and its great fun meeting all the smiling customers!


Production team

The Production Team assists in a diverse range of activities, including the festival build & breakdown, seeing in exhibitors and contributors and site maintenance. The team is perfect for practical people and those looking to gain first-hand experience of running large events.


Eco team

Wild Field Events take pride in running event that support sustainable practices where possible. The Eco Team will be assisting our ‘Green’ initiatives, activities and workshops. Duties include helping to promote responsible recycling, topping up the Eco cleaning products at all the wash points and stewarding the onsite ancient woodland.
